Frequently asked questions

How to become a participant of the competition according to the program of international academic mobility?

To participate in the competition of international academic mobility proceed as follows:
Write an application addressed to the Director of ____ (Download Application Form, fill in two languages) and attach a current transcript with the current GPA and sign a statement (in Russian) with the Director of the Higher School in which you study.
Attach to the statement and transcript the following documents:
recommendation letters, if any (free form letter from a teacher of the university or from the place of work or practice, etc.);
A written consent of the applicant’s parents (guardians, legal representatives) for studying abroad within the framework of academic mobility, for a period of more than two months (Download Consent Form).
Bring all the documents (signed and completed application, a copy of the transcript, letters of recommendation, written parental consent) to the Department of International Cooperation in the Hours of Applications Reception and get a Receipt for admission to the competition of the international academic mobility. Wait for further instructions of a coordinator.

What are the requirements and how will the selection be made?

It is necessary to check the requirements of the host university (for this you need to look the information about the partner universities).
The contest is held a few months before the start of the semester. If you want to study in the fall semester of the new academic year, you should start preparing in the spring, in March. For studies in the spring semester, we advise to prepare from September. This cushion of time is necessary in order to adapt to the requirements of the partner universities.
Competitive selection is carried out in 2 stages:
The coordinator shall set the date and venue of the English test (if you have an IELTS / TOEFL certificate, attach it to the application, and then you will not have to take the test).
After testing coordinator organizes an interview with the contest committee, where a final decision will be made.

How much is the tuition fee of foreign education?

Participation in academic mobility program always involves incurring certain financial costs, despite the fact that education is free of charge.
That’s why you need to fully estimate your financial state before applying for this program. The partner-universities may offer tuition free education but a student will pay for flights, accommodation, food and other necessities himself/herself. Approximate expenses are indicated in the information pages of every partner-university.
In the foreign university you will receive a transcript stating the disciplines, number of credits and the final mark of the exam. After the end of the semester you bring the transcript to your Higher School, where the differences of disciplines will be considered and they will determine which items will be awarded and which you will learn on an individual basis (paid as unattended discipline).

What disciplines will I study in a foreign university?

You choose the disciplines yourself, in some universities the list of disciplines will be available only 1 month before the start of training. To select a discipline in a partner university, you must agree in advance a study program with the Higher School, and if there will be a difference, you make up and approve an individual study plan together with the Higher School and the Office of the Registrar.

Who can participate in the program?

We invite 2 and 3 year students to take part in the academic mobility program.

I have missed assignments. Can I take part in the program?

You must be in a good academic standing if you want to participate in the contest.

I have read this information, but I still have more questions.

For the first semester of my last academic year, I studied at the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University in one of the largest higher educational institutions in Romania.

I would like to express my gratitude to @auezov_university and the @auezov_akademobil department, the Department of English Linguistics for their hard work, for their supervision, for developing such programs. This is a great chance for many students to see the world, appreciate life, and, of course, reach great heights in education!
