The main goal of the project is to adapt the dual system in Kazakhstan, which improves the competence of students in accordance with the needs of employers, increases the employability of graduates and strengthens cooperation with the private sector.
The project is aimed at strengthening the role of enterprises and regional chambers of entrepreneurs in organizing dual training, as well as piloting some courses in which the quality standards of the European Union (ESG, EQAVET) can be applied.
Specific objectives of the project:
• On the basis of close cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the accreditation agency NAOKO, recommend appropriate changes in legislation / regulations to adapt the KAZDUAL higher education model in Kazakhstan;
• Train teachers from the experimental field of training in the development of practical skills, students and organization of practical training, employers – pedagogical skills for adequate monitoring of students;
• Provide opportunities for learners to acquire more relevant competencies and practical skills by combining formal education with on-the-job training;
• Support the different needs and interests of employers, universities and students in various industries using the KAZDUAL education model and provide recommendations for universities and MES for further implementation;
• Create an observatory of dual best practices and research that will facilitate the dissemination of KAZDUAL across Kazakhstan.

– The expert group of the project is formed for the purpose of external expert support for the implementation of the project, preparation and submission of reports at the internal (university and national) level.
– The project expert group assists the project manager and the (institutional) project coordinator in developing the most effective ways to achieve the goals and results of the project, measures to respond to risks and opportunities to resolve complex issues in the substantive part of the project.
